Ethical Tissue is a research tissue bank, licensed by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA); to collect, store and supply a wide range of human tissue, cells and fluids to biomedical research groups in academia and industry.
Ethical Tissue is committed to improving the healthcare available to patients in the future. One way they do this is by asking today’s patients to think about donating a small amount of their tissue for Biomedical Research.
Why? Scientists need human tissue to develop better tests to diagnose illnesses and to create new, more successful treatments. Using human tissue means we don’t have to use so many animals in medical research. It also gives us a better idea of how a test or treatment works on humans, which is really important.
