Leeds Bereavement Forum would like to say a massive thank you to Sarah Jones at Full Circle Funerals for their generous donation of £1,017.13 from the sales of Funerals Your Way: A Person Centred Approach to Planning a Funeral published in November 2018.
We will be using the donation to develop our training offer to support more people to feel confident in addressing bereavement issues with the people they work with; have a greater awareness and understanding of the grieving process and feel more confident in recognising what is part of the ‘normal’ grieving process and when people need more specialised support.
Funerals Your Way gives you the knowledge, suggestions and step-by-step guidance you need to create funerals which truly reflect the person who has died. It will help you if you want to express your own wishes, want to have a meaningful conversation with someone close to you or if you need to arrange a funeral at need. It is designed to support people who intend to use the services of a funeral director but would also give inspiration to those who would rather not.
Making a difference
We really appreciate all the support we receive from the local community for our work. The donations and sponsorship we receive from organisations across Leeds makes an enormous difference for us to develop and improve bereavement services in the city.
