We will be running a mixture of virtual and in real life Death Cafes this year. Please find the following dates and times:

• Tuesday 28 February | Wetherby community hub and library | 11am-12pm
• Tuesday 14 March | Virtual Death Cafe | 11am-12pm
• Thursday 20 April | Horsforth community hub and library | 11am-12pm
• Wednesday 24 May | Virtual Death Cafe | 2pm-3pm
• Thursday 22 June | Chapel Allerton library | 2pm-3pm
• Wednesday 27 September | Hunslet community hub and library | 10am-11am
• Thursday 19 October | Virtual Death Cafe | 11am-12pm
• Wednesday 15 November | Seacroft community hub and library | 2pm-3pm
• Thursday 30 November | Leeds City Museum Herbarium Café* | 11am-12pm

*Our last Death Cafe of 2023 will be a special event held as part of International Day of Disabled People Marketplace at Leeds City Museum on Thursday 30 November. We hope as many disabled people as possible will feel able to join us at this Death Cafe – the event is open to all. 

Please email us for the Zoom link and password. No booking is required for our in real life Death Cafes, just turn up on the day.

What is a Death Café?

At a Death Café people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Death Cafés are an international movement dedicated to encouraging discussion about death and dying in a relaxed environment – a welcome opportunity to ask those awkward questions you always wanted to ask.
