Virtual Annual General Meeting 2020

We are pleased to announce details of Leeds Bereavement Forum’s first virtual Annual General Meeting. Our AGM this year is kindly sponsored for the second year by Co-op Funeralcare, who have 14 branches across Leeds.

Date: Wednesday 18 November
Venue: Via Zoom
Time: 10am – 11.30am

Welcome to our first ever virtual AGM! Following our AGM business, we are excited to announce we will be joined by Jane Harris from The Good Grief Project, to watch the film ‘Lessons in Grief – Mexican Day of the Dead’ to discover how other cultures grieve.

Beyond the Mask

The film will be followed by a trailer of their new film ‘Beyond the Mask’, a series of lockdown conversations with bereaved friends and colleagues old and new with the aim of discovering how they are now dealing with the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. “Grief challenges who we are” says Jane “I certainly had to rethink my own sense of self after my son Josh died”. Now lockdown with its enforced isolation and new set of social anxieties has for many provoked similar feelings to the grief they experience following the death of a loved one. What then can we learn from the bereaved as we emerge from (or continue to endure) this global crisis?

The films will be followed by a live Q&A with the filmmakers.
